  • What a blessing to find you,my wife Ellie and I live in Long Island NY and are blessed to have a home here as well.
On Sunday sept 21 2014 we attended Mass for the first time at your Church.
We are use to much larger parishes ,so you have to imagine us finding you,we went to entrance seemed door was locked, tried to look for another entrance when met this gentleman who said turn the knob DAH.
Entering a little late, felt all these wonderful children of Gods eyes upon us seating us in our eyes a very small beautiful congregation.
What a fantastic feeling of the love that came upon us.
And can you believe we had the honor of being at Father Roberts first Mass as a priest. He was awesome! Great job Father.
We will be sure to be with you when in florida with the Lords will.
Our prayers are with you all
    Warmest Regards
    Chris & Ellie

  • This church welcomes people from all walks of life which is such a calming and wonderful feeling. I find the parishioners to be genuine and kind, there are no strangers here. I came here after trying numerous churches in the greater Fort Lauderdale area, I stayed here because I enjoy feeling that I am part of a community whose purpose is to see others succeed and flourish.

  • I have been an active member of the Parish of Sts. Francis & Clare for over two years. As someone that grew up Catholic and attended Catholic school my entire life, I began feeling disappointed in the direction the Roman Catholic church had been headed. As I got older and started questioning their values and teachings, I stopped attending mass regularly. After a few years of not attending mass, I started to miss the religious and spiritual side of myself. After a search of churches in the Ft. Lauderdale area, I found the Parish of Sts. Francis and Clare. I decided to go one Sunday and am so glad I did! The first time I walked through the doors, I felt right at home. I was greeted by (then) Brother Robert and Father Joe. The order of Mass had all of the traditional elements of a Catholic mass but it felt much more intimate than any other mass I had attended. This is a Catholic parish, and a Catholic parish where all are welcome. This is also not a church where you will find marble floors and Bose sound systems. It has humble roots and is run by hard working Franciscan brothers and lay people that want this parish to succeed and serve the community. It has been around for over 10 years and truly epitomizes the way Jesus lived his life and how I believe He would want us to live. Love one another, be kind to one another, do not judge one another and live a peaceful life. If you are looking to rediscover Catholicism, as I was, this little parish is worth your time!

  • All are welcome - is the motto. Found out this is very true. I personally like the homilies from the Franciscans of Fort Lauderdale. Coffee after the service is something I do not like to miss. Love the community feel of Sts Francis and Clare.
