  I was not aware of the buildings historic worthiness. Being as this is south Florida where mother nature knocks down everything down every decade or two, it's nice to have historic sites. I'll look up their phone number & post it, as it seems to be missing from this site

  Besides the fact that it is one of the first major Churches established in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, it is home to an architectural style that is reminiscent of stone Churches built prior to the 20th Century. While the family and I have not attended a Sunday morning service yet, First Lutheran Church is host to the local community and helps the less fortunate Tuesday evenings and occasional Saturday mornings with dinners and breakfasts throughout the year. To open their doors and hearts shows that First Lutheran has more than just a soul and cares for those of non-denominations as well. First Lutheran of Fort Lauderdale is definitely one of the pillars of the community and will always be a mainstay in Fort Lauderdale.
