  My fiance and I called upon this church for financial assistance with our rent b/c we were new to Florida and it took us longer to find a job than usual which caused us to use all of our savings. Well, we called up Church by the Sea to see what we would have to do to get assistance on our rent. They stated that we would have to type a letter explaining why they should help us and they would bring it to the board who would make a final decision. Well we did just that and after 2 weeks with no answer we called them and they said that they didn't have a decision for us yet. That was the last time we heard anything from them. Well, as time would have it. We ended up getting evicted because we told the landlord how we were waiting on their answer and after a while the landlord got tired of waiting and filed for eviction. We had 24 hours to get out. It was the worst time of my life. Here we were as christians coming to a new place to begin building a family and within the first 4 months of living here we got eviction in our very FIRST place. Thanks for nothing Church by the Sea.
